The Giants came into today 2-1 on the year vs the Rival Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers came away with a gutsy win yesterday after tying the game in the ninth inning after an error by Kelby Tomlinson. The Giants were looking to rebound after a tough loss. Johnny Cueto made his AT&T park debut and in the first inning, it did not go as expected. The Dodgers jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after many bass hits and going through the order once. Cueto did not look like himself on the mound at all. The Giants looked like they were in a hole they could not climb out of. But after RBI singles courtesy of Matt Duffy and Brandon Belt, two big home runs by Buster Posey and Belt lead to a 5-5 deadlock. The Dodgers got back on board with an RBI single and it gave LA the lead back, 6-5. Angel Pagan then stepped up in a big spot and hit a game tying home run to knot the game up at 6-6 again. With the game tied 6-6 in the bottom of the 6th inning, Joe Panik came up in a huge spot and delivered. He doubled in two runs over the head of Joc Peterson in centerfield and The Giants had come all the way back to take an 8-6 lead. The Giants got another run on a sacrifice fly by Hunter Pence and Santiago Casilla closed out the game without issues unlike the day before, to seal the Giants 9-6 win.
