Curtis Granderson Fractures right forearm

The Yankees have suffered another injury. Curtis Granderson fractured His right forearm in spring training today as he was hit on his right forearm by a pitch by JA Happ. Granderson hit 43 homeruns for the New York Yankees last season but he also set a new club record with 195 strikeouts. The Yankees off-season subtractions (Andruw Jones, Raul Ibañez, Nick Swisher) hit 100 home runs and since Granderson is out that is another 43 homers. The Yankees did get Kevin Youkillis and Travis Hafner who had a combined 31 homers last year but the Yankees will lose about 110 homers because of injuries and off-season subtractions which is very bad.

WBC 2013

In honor of the 2013 World Baseball Classic, here are the rosters to the 2013 WBC. Judging from the lineup and pitching staff, Venezuela. Come on, a team that has both Miguel Cabrera and Felix Hernandez must be good. Plus covering the field is Salvador Perez, Gerardo Parra, Elvis Andrus and Marco Scutaro, then Asdrubal Cabrera, Miguel Cabrera, Carlos Gonzalez and Pablo Sandoval in the middle of the lineup. This team is really scary. Team USA also has a lot of great players like Gio Gonzalez, Giancarlo Stanton, Ryan Braun and R.A. Dickey.

Finally the time has come baseball fans! That’s right, spring training will start tomorrow kicking off a month of games which will be played in Arizona and Florida. If you didn’t know the Cactus and Grapefruit leagues have mixed teams from both leagues. Also, releasing March 5, is MLB 13 The Show, the hit baseball video game for the Ps3 and the Ps Vita. Opening day is to start on April 1.

Breaking: Indians sign Michael Bourn for 4 years/$48M

Michael born will now be joining Nick Swisher. and Trevor Bauer in Cleveland as he has just now signed a four years $48 million contract with the Cleveland Indians. Bourn, 30 years old last year had 171 hits and 42 stolen bases. Bourn will be joining Nick Swisher in the outfield and playing center field. I expect the Indians to be very good because now they have a new manager in Terry Francona, a very good pitcher in Trevor Bauer and a good outfield which now consists of Nick Swisher and Michael Bourn.

Ryan Braun on same PED list as A-Rod, Gio Gonzalez and Nelson Cruz

Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun has been linked to the Miami PED clinic along with Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli and Orioles 3rd baseman Danny Valencia. Last week the story broke out that Alex Rodriguez, Gio Gonzales, Nelson Cruz were linked to the same list. They also released a statement saying those were not the only names, there were 1300 other names linked to the steroid clinic in Miami. What makes this very interesting is that Ryan Braun last year failed a drug test and then won his appeal which had never been done before. If Ryan Braun get suspended the Brewers and fantasy baseball owners everywhere will be in trouble. This does not mean Braun took steroids but was linked to the many names that were in Mr. Tony Bosch’s journal.

A-Rod apparently personally injected

More details have emerged in the Miami steroid case. Apparently on “Outside the Lines” details came out that the owner of the anti-aging clinic, Mr.Bosch, personally injected Alex Rodriguez at his waterfront home in Miami. If this is true Rodriguez will now be even more hated than Barry Bonds who lied in front of a federal court. If this is not true, Rodriguez can sue the clinic an maybe even shut it down. No other information has come out about the other players who were involved in the case.
