After a wild 2015 MLB season, the champion has finally been crowned. The Kansas City Royals took down the New York Mets in five games capturing their first world series title in 30 years. The MVP of the WS was Salvador Perez for his massive contributions. The MLB offseason will offically kick off on November 7th as that is when teams will be allowed to begin to sign players. The biggest pitches on the market include Johnny Cueto and David Price, who are most likley to gain large deals. Many teams exceeded expectations including the Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Houston Astros and the Chicago Cubs. Not many of those teams were even slated to make the postseason this year and they deifed the odds and every team on that list made the postseason. Players also exceeded expectations this year, for example, Alex Rodriguez. Love him or hate him, the 40 year old Yankees slugger hit 32 homers this year, more than doubling what the experts thought he would hit. Also, Josh Donaldson was a fantastic star for the Blue Jays hitting over 40 homeruns, with out him, the Blue Jays might not have made it as far as they did. In other managerial news, Don Mattingly left the Dodgers and was introduced as the Miami Marlins manager yesterday and Dusty Baker is expeceted to take over the helm of the Nationals after former manager Matt Williams was let go. There are many things to look foward to next season and even though one season has concluded, another one has just started.
