6 Aug

Alex Rodriguez has been suspended for the rest of the 2013 and the entire 2014 season including the post season. A-Rod, 38, will play tonight in Chicago, and the suspension will start when he appeals but he is expected to play out the rest of the season. Here is the full list of the players suspended today: Antonio Bastardo Philadelphia Phillies, Cesar Puello New York Mets, Everth Cabrera San Diego Padres, Fautino De Los Santos San Diego Padres, Fernando Martinez New York Yankees, Francisco Cervelli New York Yankees, Jesus Montero Seattle Mariners, Jhonny Peralta Detroit Tigers, Jordan Norberto Free Agent, Jordany Valdespin New York Mets, Nelson Cruz Texas Rangers, and Sergio Escalona.

A-Rod apparently personally injected

More details have emerged in the Miami steroid case. Apparently on “Outside the Lines” details came out that the owner of the anti-aging clinic, Mr.Bosch, personally injected Alex Rodriguez at his waterfront home in Miami. If this is true Rodriguez will now be even more hated than Barry Bonds who lied in front of a federal court. If this is not true, Rodriguez can sue the clinic an maybe even shut it down. No other information has come out about the other players who were involved in the case.

Gio Gonzalez, A-Rod and Nelson Cruz Linked with Steroid Clinic

Screenshot2013-01-29at10.11.36AM_crop_exactThe title says it. These three players have been linked to a Steroids camp in Miami. Though Rodriguez says he has not taken steroids since 2003, the Miami Herald has reported that these players, in the offseason came to this training camp. Cruz and Gonzalez have never tested positive for steroids before. Gonzalez was in the talk for Cy Young, and Cruz had a pretty good season. If they do test positive they should all be suspended.

Cashman: A-Rod could miss 2013 season

27 Jan

The Yankees might be without their 38 year old, 14x all star for the entire season of 2013. Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said on a radio interview “I think because (of) the serious nature of the surgery and the condition that he’s trying to recover from, you know, there is that chance.” I think, the Yankees will be fine with replacement, free agent signing Kevin Youklis. But the absence of A-Rod might have a impact on the Yankees on a good way. Maybe the presence of a former PED user caught NY off guard and that is why they didn’t do as well as they should have. But maybe when Rodriguez returns the following season maybe the surgery will have a positive impact on A-Rod. He won’t look like the A-Rod of 2007 when he hit 57 home runs but me might look like the A-Rod of 2009 when the Yankees won the World Series or the A-Rod of 2010 when he hit 30 home runs.
